Well, I can't believe it has been three weeks since we returned from our staff conference in Crimea. It was a valuable time of reconnecting with our colleagues, hearing what the Lord is doing in other places, and being able to share with them all that is happening in L'viv and Hosanna Church. We also were able to see a couple of famous places (although Yalta wasn't on the itinerary) and do a bit of relaxing on the Black Sea.

Upon our return to L'viv, we got serious about finding an apartment for the new family who will be arriving here July 16th for CMF. Dustin and Karilyn Mullenix, along with their two children Claire and Kyle, will be moving to L'viv to learn language and culture, hoping to begin student ministry in about 1 1/2 years. Our job will be to help guide them through the period of transition and get them connected to as many Ukrainians as possible. We were blessed to find them an apartment just around the corner from us and we are eagerly anticipating their arrival next week.

We have also been gearing up for the arrival of a short-term missions team who will be helping us with our youth camp in August. This camp will be in support of the new church plant being launched in September. This Sunday we had a commissioning service for Ruslan & Olena Stropish, Andriy & Olena Romanishin, Anya Tijhai, Marianna Dovho, and Olya Dennis. Ruslan will be the pastor and he has a strong team going with him to begin a new work in another region of the city. Tim has been instrumental in developing this team through his small group leader training and as part of the church leadership team and we are excited to help kick-start their new ministry with the evangelistic camp in August.

We are also spending the summer trying follow-up the couples we have done pre-marital counseling with over the past couple of years. It is always so much fun to see how they have grown in their marriages and hear about their struggles and triumphs as God works in their lives as a couple. Yesterday in church, another couple announced their engagement, so it is likely we will be embarking on yet another adventure of love with another pair couple in the near future.

How you can pray:

1) The safe arrival of the Mullenix family and their initial transition to L'viv. They will have 2 weeks with us before we head to the sea for camp, so pray that they would find their feet quickly after they arrive.

2) The final preparations for our short-term team of 6 arriving from the States on August 1st. That they would have extra strength for their journey and be ready to hit the ground running upon their arrival.

3) The summer camp in August. From August 2-10th, we will be hosting about 85 people to fun & fellowship on the Black Sea. This is an opportunity for many young people to hear the gospel clearly presented and for them to consider the challenge of becoming Christ-followers. Please pray for their hearts to be ready to receive truth, for the leaders to be sensitive to the needs of our guests, and above all, that Christ would be glorified in all that we do.

4) Please lift our family up in prayer as we continue to slog through the bureaucracy of adoption. We are making slow but steady progress and hope to finalize the process at the end of August.

Thanks so much for your love and support!
Heather
